WTF, I am going against the flow!

Waiting in the deep cold...

Deep in thoughts...

Moodz : Unusual Birthday Gift

You know what! I've just found out something very suprising last Friday night while dancing intoxicatingly in the dark @ MOS!

That's a cool place he!

Last week, I've received a mail from the Red Cross thanking me for my generous donation of $2700. It was address to me in my fullname. I went around asking, thinking that my company might have been so generous to make such amount of donation and mistakenly on my name. Tried to call to Red Cross too. I was really puzzled.

Then in MOS on Friday late night, after doses of drinks, Mr S start asking me why I hadn't thank him for the birthday present he got me. Oooh, thank you for the champagne you've bought me in Velvet but I didn't get to pop it!!! I said.

Then he say no no no, its a very expensive gift. I was really puzzled.

Then he asked me about receiving any mail from Red Cross... then the puzzle fell into place and it made sense after all.

$2700 signifies my age!

What a brilliant gift! Its indeed the most unusual, most expensive and most "valueable" gift I've ever received...

Isn't it great!!!

Moodz : A picture paints a thousand words

Just my mood today. Nostalgia. Been looking through my collections of pictures especially those of the last trip. I've been trying to master the skill of taking potraits of faces. Out of the hundreds pictures, I DID managed to catch a few good ones. I will post it once I figure how to put up a picture on this blog.

Woke up late today and so missed my morning deal to pick up a friend. I felt so bad! One of my new year resolution is to be PUNCTUAL. I've gotta try harder...

Realised time is passing by. One of the things that I would like to do is to take have good and natural pictures of myself taken every 5 years and to make a scrapbook - my looks in this lifetime. You know, I will never look like me today again tomorrow nor anyone else, will ever look like me at this particular moment. Every moment is unique. Every moment is a change. The only permanent thing is change. Environment, thoughts, feelings, even down to our very cells.

With this realisation, I would want to treasure my every moments. Making every moment fulfilling.

And thus, this would be the inspiration I would like my little project of "Faces in a lifetime" to be.

Also, with pictures taken by different photographer, one can see that view of each is also unique.

Mmm...

Moodz : Rain Rain Go Away...

Awww. The gloomy weather wears my energy away. Darn. Don't know why but I just feel so lethargic and sleepy and down :(

Not exactly down. Since last night, 2 friends has made a comment that I am looking different. But they just can't explain it. One said its as if I walk with a happy hop in my steps. And he asked me, 'Are you in love or looking for love?!'

Ha, what a question!

I guess, I am just happy turning into the New Year with lotsa new resolutions and determination to do things.

I've started my french lessons since Monday. Its really difficult for me to pronounce it still. I guess need to tame and train my tongue a little ;) Wish me luck!

Had a long dinner last night. At the end, we named it the 'Naming Convention' and took pictures to commemorate the occasion. It was to name my soon-to-arrive baby! Of course, being the god-ma, I have to start playing my role even before her arrival.

We thought of many good names, some funny, some hilarious. Altogether, it was a good evening spent with many good friends. Couple of names (only my favourites) :

Keira Lee
Kate Lee
Hannah Lee
Charlotte Lee
Naomi Lee

Keira is the favourite of many. Unique, unusual and for me, the name brings to me a sense of strength and yet deep beauty.

I should start exploring how to put up some pictures to perfect my blog he. Perhaps tonight. (But I think its gonna be another long nite!)

Also, this week is kindda special... kicking off 2006, I've since spoken to 2 long lost friends. We kindda got hooked up again via MSN and also Friendster (Wonders of Tech inventions).

BCP - She was my senior in high school. At a certain point, I was kindda heels-over her. Its weird but she was really my idol when I was about 14 years old. Brought her gifts, wrote her letters, visiting her home. But I guess, that turned her off quite a bit and she stayed away from that little weird me. But now that we talk about it, we laughed and mulled over it. She said, 'I hope you do not have that fansies of me anymore'... Nay, I date men only ;) But indeed it was good to catch up all those lost years (almost 10 years!) We'll probably meet up in 2 weeks time when she's back from Barce.

YYYY - She was my classmate in primary school. We were in the same class till we were 8 years old. Somehow, she texted me last night, just asking, how r ya? Then decidedly, I will not succumb to entirely words and emoticons, I picked up the phone and called her (although part of me was still debating, maybe she's too busy to talk? maybe she's not interested to talk?) Then, we spoke for a good hour and it was indeed nice to hear her. Eventhough in my mind, I still have the vision of the 8 year old who used to be my best mate. Immediately I checked out her picture in Friendster and voila, what a babe! She's so pretty! Surely we'll try to meet up within this week.

Indeed, life's little pleasures. I can't explain but I just love to be in touch with people who had once pass the path of our lives.

As I was looking through my phone book today (gotta get some deleted because my phone memory is full!) and I can't help to think that some of the friends that I've made and our path has crossed, we might never have a chance to cross it again.

And with that thought, I shudder. Yea, we only live once.

That's why these chances to meet up old friends is indeed precious. Everyone has their own journey in life and there's certainly many things to share and to learn from one another.

** She smiles and looks forwards to all the dinners she has promised for the week. It will be a hectic week though... But WTH, we only live once! Enjoy!

Moodz : Split Personality

Some people must have been wondering where has ms teh been. In fact she was still lurking around in cyber space but was assuming another identity.

Its been a while and now I am back!

I guess its was an identity crisis. Can't decide to be ms teh, jayteh or nam or etc... shan't name them all. Or either to be white, black, green (I meant my site outlook).

Also, I guess I was afraid of people reading me, knowing me, my thoughts, insecurities (still fighting but each day I can feel myself becoming stronger).

But I realised this weekend, I am just being me. And I am happy being me.
Why me? Because its me!

So, to start off this year, I'll be extra nice to me. I wanna love myself more, take good care, be healthy, go jogging, have lotsa fun, learn new stuffs, be passinate about life and live my life to the fullest...

To start off, I am beginning my french classes this week. It will go on for 10 weeks. Hopefully by then I should be able to at least understand conversations and converse too!

I wanna do some self study to brush up my Chinese and Japanese too.

Keeping myself healthy. Exercising and home cook food is my strategy. So I did my first run yesterday for 3km + 100 sit ups (I know its almost mid-Jan but the rain hasn't gave me a chance, has it?!)

Also, continue to do my daily prayers and 1 hour daimoku. Reading for 30 mins every night before lala-land.

Tentative, these are the short terms daily determinations that I wanna take on.

I'll write more about my missions and vision.

Tomorrow, the girls are coming over to my place to watch the first season of American Idols together. I should (cross my fingers) cooking dinner... It will be if edible, otherwise, on a last resort, I'll have to call for Pizzas!

Not sure hows the mood yet, but if everyone is on high note, we should be heading to Mambo (I declared January as the party month in conjunction for New Year!) Just another reason! :)

Ciao ciao!

Moodz : 2006 Starter Kit

Heyo, just received a FranklinCovey organiser for 2006 from Moon. Its lime green in color. Just my favourite color!

Its said in the planner guide that it'll help me achieve ma goals! :)

Anyway, I've always love something to write on and this is just cool. I have a PDA too but still never get used to digital scribbling.

Ah, I found a nice quote in the planner guide :

"To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe." - Anatole France

To start off, it says - There are four steps to focusing your time on what you value most and what you want to accomplish in life :

1. Identify values
2. Set goals
3. Plan weekly
4. Plan daily

Another quote :

"Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." - Willin Jennings Bryan

** She's reading now and amazes at the comprehensiveness of the planner. It even covers one's physical, social/emotional, mental and spiritual needs!

I don't if this tool will work but it does indeed help to troubleshoot me.

"Your governing values are the foundation of personal fulfillment" - Hyrum W. Smith

So now, I am going thru it step by step! :-)

That's all for now folks. Its troubleshooting time :) Or perhaps self-discovery moments...

Drink on for the new year!

Moodz : Miss ma flight

Bugger, been flying countless time now and this is ma FIRST time missing my flight by 1 MINUTE!

Worst part is that, I actually woke up QUITE early, rushed, panicked, and arrived at the airport an hour before. Checked in. Got my coffee. Strolled in.

Then, I remembered I had to buy ciggies. Then, there was the queue to pay...

Next thing I know is that I am running like a hurricane, gushing thru everything and everyone and I am late by a minute. Sigh.

So I am sitting here at Pacific coffee, having my second cuppa and filling up my time.

Be back soon!

Renge : 1 Mio Daimoku

Just had a chat on the IM with littlecreature. We are going to start a daimoku campaign together, in challenging together, heart and soul with our dear friend, Sze in Taipei.

Sze's told me this Monday that the tumor in her liver has grown in size. She's got to go thru TAE again. And she's been having pain in her tummy too these weeks. My my my, its really a tough time for her.

A tough girl she is. She told me she'll not give up as long as her doctor doesn't give up on curing her. That's the spirit, attagirl!

littlecreature: Let's focus our determination to ~
1) chant for Sze's good fortune to be able to live life to the fullest and be able to overcome her health karma
2) chant to overcome our personal challenges and to achieve victories in our own lives
3) chant to be able to fuse our lives with the Mystic Law and be able to contribute to kosen rufu

littlecreature: Let's send her our determinations and I'll get the daimoku chart
nam: okok :)

1 million daimoku campaign!

Also, she reminded me :

We have to continue moving on because our lives are very dynamic. Nothing is static in this world, the only thing that is permananent is changes..
And, as human beings we evolved, we mature, we embark on new journey, rediscover ourselves, but never regress ok?

** She sits back and let out a little yawn, but her face is flushin with deep convictions

Songz : Sympathique - Pink Martini

(Ma phone's current ringing tune)

A friend did a short translation for me :

Je ne veux pas travailler = I don't want to work
Je ne veux pas déjeuner = I don't want breakfast
Je veux seulement oublier = I only want to forget
Et puis je fume = And then I smoke

"That's depressing even translating it - you sure you like it? Are you not in a happy place at the moment?" He asked me.

Of course I am happy! Just that the tune gives me a very nostalgic feel :)

From http://martini-pink.lyrics-songs.com/

Me rend malade

Je ne veux pas travailler
Je ne veux pas déjeuner
Je veux seulement oublier
Et puis je fume

Je ne suis pas fière de ça
Vie qui veut me tuer
C'est magnifique
Être sympathique
Mais je ne le connais jamais

Je ne veux pas travailler
Je ne veux pas déjeuner
Je veux seulement oublier
Et puis je fume

Je ne suis pas fière de ça
Vie qui veut me tuer
C'est magnifique
Être sympathique
Mais je ne le connais jamais

Je ne veux pas travailler
Je ne veux pas déjeuner
Je veux seulement oublier
Et puis je fume

Moodz : Lost in Translation

After the birthday fever is over, I guess this is exactly how I felt - lost in translation.

So much thoughts, so little time.

But in anycase, as I crosses the minutes into my 27th year of existence - i redetermined to renew my determinations :) - to live a glorious life, fulfilled and all happiness.

How? Where do I go from here? I realised this year, I've done pretty nothing much except for too much workings and partyings. Of course, the travellings has been a plus points but yet, the enthusiasm has died down and the travels has become a part of the job. I know, I should strike myself out of this ritual and make values in every moment of my life.

Therefore, here comes 2006 and its time again to brainstorm and write my resolutions for the new year.

Meantime, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me again!

** She smiles an everlasting smile

Moodz : Cool me down

I guess he is just trying to get on my nerves.

BUT I should not let anyone make me go down.

I've been trying hard to stay up up up and he is not gonna get me down. I am not going to be unhappy because some asshole just wanna screw up my day.

Heheheh. Hardly I do use harsh words, mostly only for internal talking within me.

But who cares!

Sigh, but truly, I've lost the drive for work.

I need to get it back.
And I will soon.

I don't wanna turn myself into a little devil and not likable to all anymore...

Moodz : Me, myself and Ms Teh

I am back as Ms Teh. For I am still Ms Teh.

I feel its more me than ever. Even though I love Nam but I am still Ms Teh.

So, I am going thru the changing of my blog nick and space name again.

3rd time this week! ** Grinning

Today I am feeling fine, looking little bohemia eventhough I am not! Pulled out a black top this morning, took off my necklace, put on dangling earings, jeans (was contemplating between jeans or real bohemia long skirt) and a black stilts.

Been wanting to work hard like a dog today (Nam is a bad example of a doggie, because he is super duper lazy) and I did! Till now... I can't resist to pen a couple of thoughts down.

Its weekend! We are going to have a bbq party for Ms YS's birthday. Its going to be fun fun fun. Was supposed to be a small private party, containing only 10 people but we couldn't resist inviting this friend and that friend and now its almost a party of >20!!! Phew!

But yummy yummy yummy, my stomach is already rumbling!

Little creature is coming down this evening with her beau. For Quidam. We'll have dinner tonight.

Sunday, I wanna just sleep sleep sleep and be a lazy Ms Teh.

Will I resist?

** She tries to take a picture of her bohemic self but...

Moodz : Life and Death

Just heard from a friend. He is devastated that 2 of his best friends killed themselves last weekend.

Wow, it pained me so much to receive such news even though I do not know who are the two people but they must have been in a real hellish state that the only way they could seek out is to take their own lives.

There is so much suffering in the world!

But one thing we have to realise (this I read just this morning), that problems and suffering are two separate thingy. When we have problems, doesnt necessarily means we have to suffer. Nevertheless, the separation line is rather thin and more often than not, we tends to be sucked into the realm of own sufferings whenever we encounter problems.

But the book says that suffering is in fact our own inability to overcome the problem. It is not the problem itself but our lack of believe in our own ability.

When we are confident that we can overcome a problem, we call that challenges instead :)

Coming back to the point of conversation, I do feel bad in a way now. Because when my friend was telling me, I kept emphasizing that we should always extend our hands out to people whom we think might need us. My intention is not to make him feel guilty but I truly believe every happenings, we must learn something from it, after all the tears and pains.

Because all this news brought me back to the time when one of my good friend killed himself. In fact all of us knew he has deep deep depression and had attempted suicide before, no one spoke to him and held out to him because its a taboo to talk about dying. We were talking a lot among ourselves but everyone was telling each other, let's not bring it up to him, let's act as if nothing is wrong. But something was clearly wrong and a month later, he hung himself.

Often, I wondered, perhaps I could have made a difference if I had went ahead to sit with him, to listen, to talk, to keep him company, to show him that life has more than the gloomy world he's been drowning in... perhaps perhaps perhaps.

Nevertheless, I've made my vow that I'll never hold back my act of compassion in future, I will give my best care to all and especially more to those that I think needs it.

A couple of years afterthat, someone very close to me attempted suicide. It was indeed heart wrenching. But we were very fortunate that we managed to overcome the whole ordeal together and today's she's a much much stronger person and also dedicated to help others.

So you see, compassion will snowball somehow... keep passing it on...

My prayers to the 2 good friends of my dear friend.

Tickles : European English

Seen this somewhere before but it still tickles... :-)

English... 5-year plan.

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-th year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English". In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c".

Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

If zis mad you smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl.
