My Canon 350D

I bought a Canon 350D 1.5 years ago. Been shooting with it leisurely and occasionally ><

Here's one of my leisure composition - 'Man in the Sun' :)

I had a dream. I wanted to be a photographer that could take pictures which could touch ones' heart. Pictures that tell stories. Pictures that hold still time.

Anyway, I had been lazy. As usual.

NOW I have a great opportunity now. In the upcoming SGIB Tret's course, I have been assigned to be a part of the photography team. We will be capturing the moments during the buddhist course to preserve the memories and also, we will be making a souvinir to be presented to Sensei.

So, finally, I moved my butt and completed my first online course. Its a short and easy intro to DSLR from Canon. Check it out if you are also interested!

A Basketball Match

Last night, I watched my very first basketball match.

It was qualifying match for Belgium National League, a game between Roya Atomia Brussels vs Spirou Basket Charleroi.

Though, I didn't know either of both the teams, it was very fast that I got all hyped up, excited and screaming my head off. Hehe. Though there was no cute players to feast my eyes on :(

The crazy supporters throwing toilet paper rolls. Even equipped with their own drummers.

Although my stomach got better of me and we left to eat wanton noodles soup after half-time... hehehe, I learnt a lot about basketball this night!!!

I thought I knew about it all already (since I used to play 'bola jaring') but I just found I know nuts! ;)

Going to Gym

After all the festivities and travels, I feel so heavy and lethargic.

So I signed up at the gym. For a year.

At the gym here, there is no nice glass door bathrooms like those we find in Fitness First.

They have a huge bathroom with 10 shower heads. So we all shower together. Big. Small. Fat. Thin. White. Black. Yellow. Hair. Hairless.

And I saw for the first time, the pinkest nipples ever. Rose Pink.

Christmas is Coming

The entire city is lit up with Christmas decors which emits a grand festive ambience. I took a lone walk last Friday evening, just before the night fall, down to the Grand Place. They've put up a gigantic bluish Christmas tree in the middle of the square.

And the Christmas market, stalls lining up a long way, with lovely twinkling little lights and heaps of tourist strolling along.

And I accidentally made an art piece - compact camera with shaky cold hands. Sometimes it does wonders.

Fall

I love the fall. The fiery colours of the falling leaves everywhere lits up the entire city. I feel it gives a very soft dreamy feel everytime I stare out the window on the drive to work.

It just starts me daydreaming.

Its a pity the trees are almost empty now.

But that's the most lovely part of living thru seasons, the endless admiration of nature's beauty.

The sea, Knokke

Spend Sunday lazing at the beach of the Belgium's Surfers' Paradise @ Knokke. There were many cute surfers, sunbathers and topless sunbathers.

I slept, read a book, stared at the coming waves and blue skies, all in the sun for 4 hours. It was relaxing indeed.

Didn't do a dip in the sea though because the water is at f***ing freezing cold - 17 degree! Though the sun was shinning hard and my friends were burnt. Not me with my thick, strong Asian skin :)

This they call it summertime! Brrr...

Winter in Bruxelles '05

Just remembered of some very nice pictures I took during the last trip here.

I figured I should show off some niceties of Brussels so that frens will be tempted to come visiting this beautiful country - and visiting me, thus I will have continuous supply of my Shin Ramen and Prima Taste packs... muahahahha...

Come! Come! Come! A warm welcome to cold cold Belgium!!!

Hey, ain't my skills improving slightly? (Minus the mis-focusing sometimes)

Moodz : Here comes the sun

Look! Here comes the sun.

I love clear BLUEEE skies... :)

After 2 weeks of gloomy clouds and endless rain falls, everyone is estatic to see the sun.

Today we even went out to a restaurant during lunch. Sat by the terrace, letting the sun burn deep into our skins, enjoyin our salad and cup of steaming espresso.

Moodz : Welkom to Belgie

Leaving on a jet plane...

Me been missing? Yea, am on a holiday!

No, in fact, everything has been great so far except for a couple of hiccups. First thing is that my charger for my mobile phone is broken (it didnt survive the long flight!) and the wireless router at my home was acting stubborn for the first couple of days.

So, that explained my disconnection from the world for the first 3 days.

Apart from my missing luggage (and found 6 hours later) and broken window and stolen GPS from our car and the unstoppable rain, otherwise, it was a good welcome to cold cold Belgium, the heart of Europe.

I've begun to like my new home, the art donning of layers and layers of summer clothes to shield the chilly wind, got use to wearing shoes indoors, eating cheese and sitting on stingy cold toilet seat. (I should get a heated and multi-function one from Japan - with the powder option, aha) Ah, and also responding to people speaking to me in Flemish.

Went to the town hall to get meself registered and thruout the entire process, the lady refused to speak to me in English. I still think she understands english though. But anyway, I managed somehow... using my telepathy skills hahaha.

Admist all this, I can already imagine a beautiful summer coming up. I see flowers sprouting at every corners at gardens of homes, flowers on trees along the highway with unusual shapes and colors, beaming faces of people when the sun appears for a tempting moment and a vast sky view which I longed to see it in an entire bluishness.

Ma new home!

The Hall to laze.

The TV to stare.

Eating eating eating.

Not my cup of tea. But I'll try some chinese dishes soon.

First drink - Welcome Jaymy to Belgium :)

Photoz : Faces

I thought I'll try out uploading some pictures :) And first thoughts are the pictures I took of my sista and some frens.

Lost in transitions...

The world passes by, yet in her very own world she sleeps...

WTF, I am going against the flow!

Waiting in the deep cold...

Deep in thoughts...

Teatime dazing in Cafe Lourve...

Man, yummy french crepes! ** She smiles a little arch of anticipation

Quick smiles for the captured moment.
